Mobile payments and messaging specialist Fonix has been selected to provide the mobile operator payment platform for Open Mobile Global (OMG)’s SMS donations.
OMG is one of the UK’s leading providers of mobile and digital fundraising solutions and it works with over 40 registered UK charities. Since its inception in 2012, it has helped its charities to raise over £25 million in donations. Their core business developed from the collection of donations via SMS and they now offer an extensive range of mobile and digital fundraising tools.
Mobile donations have become highly valuable to charities, with the third sector having grown to be the largest vertical market for phone-paid payments. Furthermore, CRM messaging techniques are revolutionising the ways in which charities foster deeper consumer engagement, allowing them to further increase donations.
Clare Charles, Client Director for Media and Charity at Fonix, said: “We’re so excited to be working with OMG, because they get how important it is to constantly seek new, improved ways of donating. Fonix can offer them more intelligent fundraising, which we are confident will result in an upturn in donations.”
Director of Open Mobile Global, Simon King said: “Fonix has delivered some fantastic work for clients such as Children in Need and Comic Relief, proving their understanding of the charity sector and their commitment to innovation. We’re looking forward to working with them and delivering exciting new features to our fundraising platform.”
