Hello and Happy Thursday! It is just one week – well less as you read this – until World Telemedia Prague on 10-12 November and you are in for a treat. After the many debacles around charge to mobile and other operator issues, the onus at this year’s show is very much geared towards looking outwards at other markets.
With the UK market struggling a bit right now – at least until all these operator issues are sorted out, which we will be addressing at the show too, as you will see below – the main opportunities lie overseas. And that is what we are aiming to get across at the show.
The cornerstone of the show this year are the Country Updates. There are also be a host of breakouts and conference sessions dedicated to International PRS and strategic telecoms running throughout the event. Check the conference plan.
But that isn’t to say that the issues in the UK market aren’t being addressed. There will be several City Breakout sessions taking place where you can talk to leading protagonists about the issues and, in an informal setting, work out how best to deal with them.
For those of a more legal bent there are several City Breakouts dedicated to legal matters and of course those that want to talk about carrier billing we have a dedicated conference track dealing with that.
We aren’t giving up totally on the potential that carrier billing has in the UK either with a wrap up of the hottest verticals at the moment taking centre stage on day two of the conference.
